About Monihan Realty

Monihan Realty is Ocean City’s only continuously family owned and operated real estate company. It was founded by Robert “Bob” and Joy Monihan in 1947 at 3201 Central Avenue. Bob had recently graduated from Rutgers University after active duty Navy service during World War II. At an early age, Bob and Joy’s sons Michael and Jeffrey entered the family business, and in 1986 Michael and Jeffrey took the firm’s helm when Bob retired.

Due to their thriving business, they opened a second office at 717 Battersea Road in 1987. Now, Monihan Realty’s management includes the 3rd generation of the Monihan family, Chris Monihan and Lindsay Monihan. To this day, Monihan Realty is known for its entrepreneurial legacy and contribution to real estate history in Ocean City.
